Grade 1 Math
Pattern making is an example of hands on learning. The gallery walk allowed students to see and examine fellow classmates. In the moment, I changed where they would document their findings of other patterns. Instead of having a piece of paper beside the pattern for them to make a note on, I had them draw the pattern in their math journals. I would change the location and allow them to do this activity on the floor instead of their desks. We also took pictures of them in order to put them onto the smart board for latter viewing.
