![]() Jean Bethke Elshtain writes of the struggles which democracy is facing in our time. Our world is loosing the emphasis put upon Institutions, as the family and religion are currently being pushed aside. She talks about the importance of looking at what we need as a society not what I need as an individual. In the end, I believe democracy is heading down a path that will create a form of tyranny and possibly even revolution. We as citizens need to remember that we are a group of people under one banner, and together we need to decide what is best for us, not what is best for just ourselves.
