C. S. Lewis, aslo known as Clive Staples Lewis, was a man of many talents. He was best known for his friendship with J. R. Tolkien, and his use of Christianity in his writing. While he fell away from his faith in adolescent years, it was friends like Tolkien who helped him find his path in latter years.
This book is the first of seven in the Chronicles of Narnia series, and follows the telling of Christianity. It also reminds me a little of J. R. Tolkiens Lord of the Rings Trilogy because they are both a force of good working against a force of evil.
We can apply these books into our daily lives as we strive to always overcome the evil trials we can face. It is never easy and always tricky but with incredible endurance and faith it is possible. After such trials, we can see the improvement upon ourselves through reflection and attention.
